Connecting mathematics and statistics instructors

All,

We are running a pilot of our self-paced mastery learning course this semester and we had our college TV people come and take some footage.  The last half of this link is all student reactions to learning in this style.  Of course this was edited, but every student that sat in front of the camera was put in the video and I just went down the row getting feedback from the first few students.  I hope you enjoy.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3mGJC4iIhI

If other schools have similar videos I would be interested in seeing what you have as well.

Thanks,

John

This is great, John. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing the video. We'll pilot 15 sections in the spring and we've had a great response.

It is hard to ignore the student working in the background around the 3 minute mark, plus. The screen saver seems to be on for a while, hmm
That is funny, I had to rewatch this to see the student you are talking about. There is a bit of an optical illusion there as the first station is an ADA compliant workstation with the screen at a different level making it look like it is the second screen. We can't actually see that student's screen. I am hoping that time where he is not writing is video watching!
